My name is Ashley Victoria Harris. I was born and raised in Hampton Roads, Virginia on August 6, 1998. I am currently a Junior Publishing major at Belmont University. I didn't dream of living in Nashville like many other people have. Belmont was the only school in the country to offer this major and I decided to attend without ever having visited campus, much less the city. I have one older brother who is the bane of my existence. Just kidding (kind of). He and his wife gave me one of the greatest gifts, my nephew, Grayson. He is one of my favorite people in the world. In the future, I hope to live and work in New York City at a publishing house for children and young adults. I am passionate about literacy and teaching people the priceless skill of reading. I am currently interning with a local Nashville author, Corabel Shofner. This experience has reinforced my desire to work with books. In my spare time I like to read (obviously), write, watch movies, binge new TV shows (Black Mirror?!), go on hikes, travel, and hang out with my family. Another important fact about me is that I have a one-year-old rescue cat named Luna. She is ridiculous and needy, but I love her anyways.
